Eight years!! |
 Today, May 2 2006, marks eight years of marriage for Colette and I!! Can you believe it? Eight years .. in some ways it doesn't seem that substantial but so much has happened during that time.
Can't say life has always been peaches and roses during those eight years but I guess that's what makes things interesting. Surviving the tough times and enjoying the good times and doing it together as best we can.
Here's to another eight years and more.

Christmas Vacation |
Hello everyone, we have just returned from our trip to England. It was fantastic!!!
We were so happy to show off Joshua Liam to our family overseas, and of course they were delighted to see how much Megan Grace had grown.
This was a very rich visit in how we connected in family relationships, and in that we had 3 weeks to rest and celebrate with Shamma and the rest of the clan.
We were also able to celebrate Shamma's 75th -- I mean her 21st (oops) -- birthday in style - good food, drink and lots of love and laughter!!
Now we have many memories to last until next time we get to be together - enjoy the photos !!!

Joshua Liam is born!! |
Today, October 14, at 10:02 our son Joshua Liam was born. He was delivered by c-section and was 10 lbs 5 oz at birth. BIG BABY!!
For one reason or another the spinal anesthetic did not take for Colette and so she had to be given a general. This meant that I could not be present for the birth but also meant that the recovery after the procedure was a little longer and harder for Colette.
Both mother and baby are now doing well and enjoying each others company.
Megan Grace is very happy to have a new baby brother and has enjoyed being the bearer of the good tidings. We are all looking forward to bringing Joshua home in a couple of days.

Movement |
Last night I felt the baby move in Colette's tummy really strongly.
Colette has been able to feel the movement for quite some time now, and I have felt little waves with my hand before but last night I could feel very distinct bumps as our little baby kicked and turned inside Colette.
The baby was quite active for perhaps 30 minutes or more and I sat there with my hand on Colette's belly and a big smile on my face. It is so cool!

We are expecting!! |
Colette, Megan Grace and I are eagerly awaiting the newest addition to our family. Colette is due in the middle of October and we could not be happier.
Megan Grace is so looking forward to being a big sister and helping out with the baby.
So far all is going well. We have all enjoyed hearing the gallopping heartbeat and seeing the ultrasounds as the baby stretched and sucked his/her thumb.
We will do our best to keep the updates flowing.
